All was going so well until Friday, i decided to go for some retail therapy after work with one of the girls from work and DD and being lunchtime, it obviously involved lunch.
So off i went to the noodle bar, while they had pie and mash, not too bad i thought, until a couple of hours later we needed a drink so ended up in a coffee shop, i fully intended to have a cup of tea but somehow ended up having a chocolate frappé AND a slice of caramel shortbread!
By the time hubby came home from work and i had been on my feet for 10 hours i caved in and ordered Pizza Hut and of course i didn't just have 2 slices....OOPS!
So Saturday comes and I'm back on the wagon, until tea time that is, still feeling tired from a busy week and totm we somehow (this keeps happening to me) we ended up in a pub having Steak and Chips with an Onion Pole to share....EEK!
Sunday we went off to Meadowhall, plenty of walking but the sarnies in Boots looked like they'd been there a week so i took the only pointed option i could, a Maccy D's happy meal, not healthy but at least i knew the points. Oh my god i got through Sunday in Points!
Monday i was off for the day, at home, alone and of course ordinarily i would be good but come 2pm i only had 6 points left for the day (choccie binge)
Now of course the sensible option would have been to have a Salad or Stir fry etc for my dinner but i decided if i had too little i would end up snacking all night so i made a Chilli for dinner, only 5 points over for the day but i think had i made a Salad i would have binged in the evening and gone over a lot more, that's my excuse anyway.
So we get to Tuesday, WI day, Do i go?
Had a quick call with my leader, she persuaded me , along with other sensible board members to follow the advice i would give to any one else in this position to go and face the music and draw that line________
I LOST 1/2 a pound!!
So i the moral of this LONG story is, that although i 'think' i binged and went overboard, my 3 'bad' days weren't as bad as i thought and were once what i would have considered 'good' days.
Maybe i was let off, or maybe it was the 1/2 that was wavering when i stood on the scales the previous week, you know the one where the scales hover between weights then settle on the lower one?
Whatever it was i am back on the wagon, if i lose 1.5 lb next week i will have hit my 4.5 stone mark if i lose 2lbs i will be in the 13's........
