And i gained......4.5lbs!
To be honest it was a relief to get weighed and find out the damage, i think i will now find it so much easier to get back on the wagon.
I'm all planned for the week and raring to go, hoping to get the vast majority of that off next week, so wish me luck!
Well off i went to Mum's, i wasn't going off the wagon until i got there.....
We pulled into a garage to get fuel and out came a bag of chocolate eclairs, suffice to say that 160 miles later there were none left.
Dear mum had spent the day baking sausage rolls, mince pies, scones and sponges and of course the first thing that happened was that they came out with a cup of tea.
Christmas morning I did resist a fried breakfast, sadly i wasn't that good as i did have a bacon sandwich, i could make this 3 pages long with what i then ate at my sister's house so it would be easier to tell you what i didn't eat.......
Let me get back to you on that one, I'm gonna have to think hard!
Anyway, i ate what i wanted and had a lovely time until just before i went to bed Christmas night i ended up taking 2 paracetamol, 2 Rennie's and 2 Rennie deflatine then spent ages awake as i felt so ill and bloated, so it's clear to say that my body just can't take it anymore.
But..... did that stop me doing the same boxing day? Of course NOT!
Sorry mum if you ever see this but i was actually looking forward to the 2-3 hour drive home just so i had a break from eating!
So i arrived home about 8ish boxing day evening, made myself some toasted cheese as that's the one thing i haven't had since being on WW, ate a ripple for my last supper and jumped back on the wagon today and here i plan to stay.
Whether i dare go to WI on Tuesday is another matter, we shall see.
And after my angelic week i lost 2.5lb so really chuffed with that, god knows how i will do next week but as long as i can get back on the wagon asap i will be happy.
Short and sweet, back off to work to set up the dreaded sale :o(
I am so angelic this week!
I definitely struggle the week after i have a gain but as soon as i see a loss the week after i am all motivated again, i am determined to have one last good week before i go away for Xmas.
I have really tried to have meals from the filling foods list this week and it's certainly worked so far, i have found myself looking at my dinner plate that's full of vegetables and wondering what on earth has happened that i now seem to eat more veg than meat or potatoes and it doesn't even bother me?
Fingers crossed i will get a nice return this week on the scales.
Sarah has today gone off to her dad's for 9 days so Karl and i are going to see my mum and the rest of the family but with having to work the 27th we are only going to be there for 2 days so hopefully that will be my total of naughty days and i can get straight back on the wagon, whether that will happen is another matter!
My Xmas should only really start Xmas day and be over as soon as i arrive home late boxing day so no excuses!
So..after last weeks gain i really struggled, i stayed in points until Saturday night but i was in that mood where evil thoughts were entering my head and i wanted to bury myself in chocolate and bad things.
I ended up at a friends house with the plan to take a half bottle of Malibu, looked in the cupboard and there was a full LARGE bottle......why not, i thought.
All sense went out of the window and i drank the whole lot!
Of course followed by a burger from the kebab shop.
I had the hangover from hell all day Sunday where my stomach resembled a washing machine but i managed to get back on the wagon.
Weighed in today and somehow i have lost 1.5lbs!
So i am now back where i was 2 weeks ago, 70lbs (5 stone) lighter and motivated to stay right on it this week and have one last good loss before Christmas.
Wish me luck , it can all change Lol
Well i put on 1.5lbs this week, hardly surprising after Saturday night as that all rolled into Monday night.
I now have removed my head from the Quality Street tin as i made Karl take it to work...apparently he was very popular that day.
Just one more tin of QS and one of Sensations to go!
Really struggling again this week i am managing to stay on track but only just.
I suppose i have realised that as much as i thought things were changing and my tastes were moving forward to healthier foods i am not infallible.
I wouldn't go as far as to say i couldn't resist a fried breakfast, that sort of thing wouldn't bother me but stick chocolate in front of me and I'm going to have to dive in.
2 more wi's til the big day, if i can get that 1.5lb off and just maintain until after Xmas i will be happy but i know it's not going to be that easy.
Wish me luck!
for my medication review and the rather good news is that my blood pressure is now 30 points lower than it was this time last year.
The doctor didn't tell me at the time but apparantely i was bordering on having to go on medication for it.
He also said i looked fantastic (i've not seen him since i started on WW)and that he could do with me to talk to his patients :o)
Well it was that time of year again, work xmas party and what a night!
Last year i didn't enjoy it at all, i hated what i could fit into and i had a headache all night and wanted to come home, this year i wore exactly what i wanted and danced and drank all night and to hell what anyone thought!
I had 20 points saved but all the good intentions of drinking low point malibu went out the window and i was drinking smirnoff ice at 2.5 a bottle, i lost count after 10 so lets say i am way over points when you count the 3 course dinner and the burger at 2am (as you do) there is a massive line to draw today.
Anyway the wagon's been and i'm right on it today so i will take what wi gives me on Tuesday, i had fun, and life is or living.
I thought i would post a pic of last and this years party's, i think you can see a difference in both me and my friend Diana although i'm not entirely happy with the crow's feet that have appeared from nowhere!
This week i lost 2.5lbs so i got my 5 stone loss!
I'm very happy to say the least.
I am out with the girls at the weekend so going to take a good look at the Fast start of the new plan and maybe incorporate that into 6 of the 7 days for damage limitation.
Slight delay here but i lost 1.5lb this week so it's getting nearer :o)
Not much exciting to report, it's been a busy week of work and generally organising things, school meetings and so on it goes.
One thing that did make me laugh was i went into the corner shop where i go nearly every day for milk, the lady that owns it asked if i had lost weight.....omg at nearly 5 stone is it only now showing? LOL
Terrible sleeping habits, i woke up at 2am friday so spent most of friday like a zombie, thank goodness it was my day off and i was in bed last night (saturday) at 7pm, slept 12 hours, it's a long way from the fridge tho so it's not all bad!
Off to Asda, i must be mad on a Sunday but needs must, wish me luck, i'm a terrible trolley rager so i will need some very deep breaths!
Today i lost 2lbs
So i now only have 4lbs to get my 5 stone and i would like it for xmas.
Feeling rather chuffed again!
Just sorted out my wardrobes for the 4th time since joining ww and have another 20 items for the cancer research shop.
I am in an 18 top and i have even sent off the 20's......I will not be wearing them again!
DH and i had a laugh again, i even tried on a pair of jeans i bought in Blackpool and only worn about 3 times, they were massive.
Happy days :o)
I came home from weigh in and work and made soup for lunch.
Once upon a time i would have been so tired and so lazy i would just have grabbed something from Greggs as the sooner i sat down the better.
I had a day off yesterday and got a call to go to Sheffield as they were opening a new store today, i literally had 10 mins from getting the call to getting to the train so in my rush i didn't have time to prepare anything and when at 6pm they decided we should eat......they chose Pizza!
Well i am happy to say i refused any, to be honest, i wasn't all that fussed, it seems the forbidden foods are becoming easier to resist?
Looking forward to the weekend, my beloved footy team are playing away at Doncaster and also playing that night in the town are our favourite band. footy and a gig, what a great day!
I should be ok, Karl's driving so i doubt i will drink i want to stay on track, not sure if i am getting boring or old........ or both? Lol
YES i lost 2.5 lbs !!
So now i have lost 4.5 stone and more exciting for me i am now in the 13's :o)
Short and sweet as i am making soup for lunch.
What happened to those days where i just stopped off at Greggs on the way home??
Well i have been out and got some new boots to go with my skirts, i was going to get some more Doc's but i saw these and maybe I'm getting old but i liked the idea of a of a Doc looking boot with a side zip for ease! Lol
Made some lovely Tuna Fishcakes for lunch to have with a salad and had a huge plate of Roast Chicken with LOADS of veggies for dinner.... I'm absolutely stuffed now, who says this dieting lark is hard?
I'm an absolute angel this week i so hope it pays off.
Well first things first, i did go out in the skirt and wore it for work yesterday as well and got loads of compliments.
We had a red one come in so i bought that,i have that on today and hubby seemed kinda pleased when he saw me in it so that was good! ;o)
Another great NSV i bought 2 pairs of 16 jeans, didn't bother trying them on and had to take a pair back as they were too big!
Feeling really good and having a good week points wise (so far)so hoping to get my 4.5 stone and into the 13's on Tuesday.
I bought this skirt yesterday, i have always wanted a tartan mini and finally got one in a size 16 no less, definately couldn't have had one last november as a size 22
Now the question is, dare i go out in it?

All was going so well until Friday, i decided to go for some retail therapy after work with one of the girls from work and DD and being lunchtime, it obviously involved lunch.
So off i went to the noodle bar, while they had pie and mash, not too bad i thought, until a couple of hours later we needed a drink so ended up in a coffee shop, i fully intended to have a cup of tea but somehow ended up having a chocolate frappé AND a slice of caramel shortbread!
By the time hubby came home from work and i had been on my feet for 10 hours i caved in and ordered Pizza Hut and of course i didn't just have 2 slices....OOPS!
So Saturday comes and I'm back on the wagon, until tea time that is, still feeling tired from a busy week and totm we somehow (this keeps happening to me) we ended up in a pub having Steak and Chips with an Onion Pole to share....EEK!
Sunday we went off to Meadowhall, plenty of walking but the sarnies in Boots looked like they'd been there a week so i took the only pointed option i could, a Maccy D's happy meal, not healthy but at least i knew the points. Oh my god i got through Sunday in Points!
Monday i was off for the day, at home, alone and of course ordinarily i would be good but come 2pm i only had 6 points left for the day (choccie binge)
Now of course the sensible option would have been to have a Salad or Stir fry etc for my dinner but i decided if i had too little i would end up snacking all night so i made a Chilli for dinner, only 5 points over for the day but i think had i made a Salad i would have binged in the evening and gone over a lot more, that's my excuse anyway.
So we get to Tuesday, WI day, Do i go?
Had a quick call with my leader, she persuaded me , along with other sensible board members to follow the advice i would give to any one else in this position to go and face the music and draw that line________
I LOST 1/2 a pound!!
So i the moral of this LONG story is, that although i 'think' i binged and went overboard, my 3 'bad' days weren't as bad as i thought and were once what i would have considered 'good' days.
Maybe i was let off, or maybe it was the 1/2 that was wavering when i stood on the scales the previous week, you know the one where the scales hover between weights then settle on the lower one?
Whatever it was i am back on the wagon, if i lose 1.5 lb next week i will have hit my 4.5 stone mark if i lose 2lbs i will be in the 13's........
And i lost.....2.5lbs!
Really chuffed with that after dropping the 2 points, i was dreading weigh in as i was worried if it was only a lb or less it would demotivate me. I know a 1lb loss is good but it can be frustrating when you've worked hard.
So i am back re focused and looking forward to weighing less than Karl, it wont be long! :o)
I so wish i had used it sleeping but oh no, DH woke me at the crack of dawn as per.
So by 8am i had already had breakfast and done all the veg for dinner, going all out and having 6 different veg today, got a feeling i might need them LOL
On a positive note, when we went to Blackpool, all the bands had merchandise but of course being larger, none of them would fit me, Karl bought a really nice polo shirt from one of my favourite bands and i always said i was pinching it as soon as i fit in it, well that day is today!
He said i could keep it on for today....... i mean how daft is he for thinking he's ever geting it back?
Still surviving on less points so looking forward to WI, watch this space!
Well i am on reduced points, i was dreading it to be honest, as every little point counts as we know but so far i have managed it without a struggle and as i suspected it's actually better as i am starting to save a few points for a treat in the evening rather than treats all day long, which of course you can afford when you are on 28 points!
I thought i would play around on fridge graph and all in all, it doesn't look too bad, i think because i have slowed down (to a steady and healthy loss) i went astray a bit but i didn't get to 18+ overnight so it's not coming off overnight is it?
Anyway off to make a lovely salad, whoever says you can't eat them in the winter is wrong, i love them.
Thank the lord! Lol
Well.........
I lost 0.5lb
I was so despondent after wi, even though in reality i should be pleased as i have been off work for 10 days and at least it shows i resisted the temptation whilst i was at home all day.
My leader has suggested i drop 2 points, i might be naughty and try 1 first but either way,i think it's for the best in a weird kind of way, it's really time to cut out the snacks and treats and concentrate on using my points for my meals alone, i mean, I've got to get out of the habit and get on to 3 meals a day..........haven't i !?!
We shall see, back at work and going to be more mobile this week, hopefully i can make it to the 13's before Santa comes!
Oh Blimey, where did this week go to?
I have spent this week doing all those bits you need to do but never have the time or inclination, i have shredded about 5 yrs of old bills, sorted out Karl's accounts, mended his pc (if he messes it up again he's in bother!) washed curtains and generally blitzed the house.
DD had yesterday off school so we had a baking session, which was nice as being a typical teenager she's only usually comes out of her bedroom to eat. We made 2 batches of buns, jam tarts, rock buns and a Victoria sponge and to date i have eaten...................NONE!! (pass the halo polish please?)
All in all it's been very productive if not boring but the credit crunch has stopped me sailing off to the Caribbean!
And...... i have stuck to my points, doesn't sound so impressive but i have been in the house almost 24/7 so i have done a lot better than i expected.
And i lost....1lb,
I walked for England last week, stayed in points, i even walked to class.......oh well!
On a positive note, it's in the right direction and my leg muscles are rock solid so at least I'm getting fitter.
Well i hated those pics and no matter how many times i looked i could see no difference so i decided to try another t shirt, now i am feeling much better :o)
I'm sure Karl thinks i am getting so vain but as many of you will know, we all want an idea of what we look like and pictures are the best way, that's my excuse anyway!
So here is today's
I'm still lumpy and bumpy but with over 3 stone to go i should expect that, but my fear of the dreaded pic is definitely fading.
Off out for walk today and going to stock up the freezer with meat and do some planning.
Wish i could say the fixation with Curly Wurly's has gone, but it hasn't. I'm really going to have to stop buying those multi packs!
I know i can feel one after losing 4 stone but looking at these pics, i'm not sure if i can see a difference?
What do you think?
Oh by the way, excuse the hair and the no make up face, it's been a long day! Lol
Don't know what's happened but i am all motivated once again, i even walked home from work again today, so i am racking up the ap's.
I think i may be obsessed because on Tuesday at work, it was only about 9.30 and aready i had reached healthy on my pedometer, so i was really chuffed, a little later i went to check it.......it had gone!
Now bearing in mind, most clothes come ridiculous amounts of tissue paper and polythene, by then i had about 10 rubbish bags of the stuff and not enough time to finish the delivery AND look for them, so off i trot to weigh in and buy another.
How wierd that my pedometer has become to me as important as putting a watch on!
Anyway, i am being good, even cutting down on my snacks (read curly wurlys)upping the amount of points i use on meals and limiting myself treat wise, i'll never learn if i don't.
Gosh i have got so lazy, i'm not updating this as much as i should, i'll never write a book will i? Lol
Anyway, it's been another funny old week, i have stuck to points (just) and struggled to do that, not in a huge way but i have made some bad choices, 3 curly wurlys in one day again, i must stop buying the multi-packs!
We went to Matlock Bath on saturday night to see the illuminations,Karl had come in from work at 4pm wanting his lunch, it was too early for me to have dinner so i had nothing and then went on to have Sausage and chips from the chippy there, i have to say though they were most enjoyable and thoroughly worth it!!
I resisted the cute little sweet shop that sells lots of different sweets in little tubs, they both bought some so not to feel left out i had a bag of candy floss, well that had to be better didn't it?
Yesterday, still guilt ridden, in my wisdom i decided to walk home from work seeing as it was a nice day, all 3 miles, which in itself was an achievement as 5 months ago i could hardly walk to the bus stop, but boy, my hips ached so badly, i have definatley slacked off the last few weeks so i am going to have to get my fitness levels back up this week.
So to WI, i lost 1.5 lb so i got to my 4 stone loss, i feel really motivated now and my goal for Christmas i have decided is to weigh less than Karl by then, that's about a stone, mind you at the rate i am baking him sponges, it might be done in less! Lol
We shall see!
And i lost 4lbs, dead chuffed that i have lost last week's alcohol gain and hopefully it's spurred me on as i only have 0.5 lb to get to my 4 stone.
Struggled a lot this week, i tink i am getting a bit bored, i have still stayed within points but the 'wanting' to eat bad stuff was around all week, i suppose i just have to be happy that i didn't cave in.
I'm going to trawl ebay and the net for some more recipes to shake things up a bit this week, it doesn't help that DH has given up on 'my food' and i have cooked him a few dinners this week i couldn't have (chip butties and full english brekkie), it's not so much that i wanted them, it was just so much easier and felt less of a diet when we were all eating the same......if that makes sense?
Anyway i can smell some lovely soup on the stove and i need my dinner, off i go!
Eeeek, well as expected i put on 1.5lbs
But considering i had 30 points on Saturday alone on booze i was never going to get away with it, and that's without all the food at the wedding.
We had a fabulous time, it was by far the best wedding reception i've ever been to, they played punk/oi music and karl and i danced nearly all night!
Had to laugh cos my leader doubted i knew what i had eaten after using 30 points for drinks alone and i replied 'Oh yes i ate half the buffet and had a burger on the way home',might as well be honest eh ? Lol
I have been back on track as of sunday morning but i seem to have been suffering from bloatedness since i was off sick last week, there must be a bug going round as a few of the girls have had it at work so hopefully that will subside by next WI.
Oh well, onwards and upwards.
Well after losing 1.5 lb this week i am 1 lb over the halfway mark!
Rather chuffed with that as i didn't think i would get this far and getting loads of compliments to spur me on.
Karl and i are witnesses this weekend for the couple that were our witnesses so not sure how this week will go, will i resist the drink??
We shall see.....
I have just updated my ticker and realised that if i lose 1 lb next week i am exactly half way !!
Well i lost 1 lb
I walked every day or night last week and i suppose it might have been a bit more but maybe it'll show next week and even if it doesn't i know my legs are toning.
I worked out that i walked the equivalent of from derby to leicester, not bad eh?
My leader was back from her hols so se presented me with my certificate.
20 weeks in and still focused, i never thought it would happen but i am really starting to realise this is a lifestyle change and not a 'diet'
Tonight we had a lovely Chicken Chasseur with rice and Banana and Custard and it totalled 8 points, you can't call that dieting!
As i say every day, long may it continue.
WI Wk 19 and i lost 2 lbs
Which means i got my 7th silver 7, 50 lbs loss , 20% AND i got into the 14's, i was so chuffed and it's spurred me on even more.
I've dropped a point of course but in a wierd way i am looking forward to learning to live with even less, i have to get out of the high point sweet treat of an evening, i started on 29 points so i am gradually having to re think what treat i do allow myself, it's certainly never going to be a snickers or mars bar again!
We had a stand in leader again today and she asked me how i had done so well (poor class having to listen to me talk again)and i still say it's going back to basics, cooking from scratch, no buying in anything that will tempt me and the extra walking.
Feeling really positive today, i just hope it lasts!
The patch went on, had an awful night with nightmares that seemed to go on forever, got up and felt great.
I got 5 hours in the day when the cravings started and they went on and on until i caved in :o(
Under certain amounts of pressure at home and i suppose i just have to be glad that at least the eating is on track, i've beaten this food lark and i am sure i will beat the smoking, maybe my time isn't right so i will try again, when i feel better placed.
Well i put on a patch last night (nightmares all night) so it's day 1 of stopping smoking. Half of me thinks i am nuts to try both, the other half knows i have been determined not to overeat so maybe i can be disciplined enough to do both?
It was FIL's funeral on Thursday, how ironic that at the wake we're all standing puffing away when we've just been to the funeral of a chap that died of lung cancer, that's madness so enough is enough, i just hope i can do this.
Food wise it's been an ok week, although there was a slight blip, i resisted the food at the buffet only for MIL who was sleeping at ours to bring home the largest fresh cream sponge known to man and yep, i had 2 slices....eeek.
Hopefully i will claw that back over this weekend, i plan to keep as busy as possible to take my mind off smoking and stop myself from nibbling.
With hindsight i should have left that 3 hour job of clearing out the DD's pit of a bedroom until today.
Must go anyway as they say 'Idle hands are the devil's tools'
And i lost 1.5lb, didn't really know what to expect as i am feeling bloated and expecting the dreaded and of course i had a fantastic loss last week.
So all in all i am chuffed but i will just have to make those goals next week, maybe all 3 at once!
Struggled a bit this week, been over on points about 3 days but manage to claw it back with some long walks and lower point days.
This week i am going back to basics and going to try and keep off the curly wurlys, 4 in one day is not really learning a lesson eh? lol
And happy to report a 5lb loss,
I am really pleased that i managed to get back on track after the wedding, i always feared i would pack it in, so just happy to be back on the wagon and all motivated again.
The next goals in sight are 2 lb to go to my 7th silver seven, 2.5 to get into the 14's and 3 to get my 50lb certificate.
I'm not sure i ever thought i would get this far but to be 17 weeks in and still wanting to carry on is more than i expected.
Maybe i can go all the way this time, i certainly feel it's more of a change of lifestyle this time as opposed to a 'diet' that's been the key to the success so far, i just hope it continues, at the moment i can't imagine ever going back to my bad eating habits but i'm also not naive enough to think it will never happen so i will take one day at a time and hope for the best!
Well i decided i would get my new workwear uniform today, so i took a size 20 jeans into the changing rooms, TOO BIG, went off to get an 18, TOO BIG, there were no 16's but yippee!
Granted they were a large size 18 but it felt pretty good.
Then, this afternoon, i decided to clear out my wardrobe for the 3rd time, DH has taken a big bag of clothes to cancer research but i thought i would share this pic of me in one of last winter's coats, we fell about laughing.
Well, i have been a tad busy!
I completely missed posting last week, i lost 1.5 last tuesday......
Then we left for Blackpool on the wednesday with all the good intentions that i was going to try and eat sensibly, not go over board, well we arrived there about 6.30, unpacked and promptly went off to the pub where i probably had about 10 smirnoff ices (25 points!) and a greasy burger (well you have to after a beer, don't you?)
The first breakfast, i though i was being good with 1 weetabix and yoghurt, then the landlord asked if i wanted a cooked breakfast and before i knew i had opened my mouth 'yes please' came out!
So that was how it went all 5 days, cooked brekkies, usually a sarnie or toastie in a cafe during the day and a fair few more smirnoffs (hic) and the burger on the way back to the b&b in the early hours.
On the upside i wore my pedometer, most days i was doing between 10 and 13 ap's and the best was 35,000 steps, one day i was even earning points before i went to bed LOL
Saturday was fab, the wedding passed in a flash, we had no music, we had forgot to take the CD to Blackpool, so we bought yet another one, only to get to the register office and realise we had forgotten that too, i can't begin to tell you how much Karl cringed when they put on 'Endless Love' by Diana Ross. Not quite the same as the Ramones!
As you can see i got married in the Doc's it was chucking it down and there was no way i was going out in sandals, just as well cos i felt totally overdressed as it was anyway. I am also convinced i should enter myself for a Gurning Competition cos all my pics are of me making a stupid face!
All in all we had a fab 5 days away, and although we were and still are shattered and recovering we still think we had the wedding we wanted regardless of what anyone says, we're weird and proud of it!
And lastly, i went straight back to WW yesterday, i asked my leader to text me to nag me and bless her she did, i only gained 2.5lb, i'm happy with that, i was secretly hoping for anything less than 7lb so hopefully that will come back off soon as i am witness to a friends wedding in 6 weeks and would love to drop to an 18 before then.
Must go, strictly speaking i am on honeymoon, things to do! ;o)
What a mad week, i have been so up and down, i have either been really busy and stressed or bored and wish I'd not taken this week off work!
WI was great tho, i lost 4lbs so that means i got my 3 stone which was what i was hoping for before the wedding.
I am still trying my best to stick to this, i am not on holiday yet, that's not til next Wednesday, then the damage will be done!
2.5 points per drink, eeekk, that's going to be a shocker!
Well i was a tad disappointed with this weeks loss, it was only 0.5lb and yes i know it's a loss but i had worked really hard, i did have company for 4 days but i worked my socks off to stay within points and especially after they had gone i walked and exercised loads :o(
Oh well 2 more wi's to go now, so whether i will lose the 3 lb to get my 3 stone is debatable, but i seem to have funny old losses, so we'll see and lets face it i've got my dress so as long as i don't gain, i can cope.
Loads to do at the moment, i think pre wedding nerves seem to be setting in, tried my dress on last night to show my neighbour and the zip is broken, had to take it to a seamstress yet again today so i get it back Tuesday. Nothing like a little panic eh? lol
WI today and i lost 1 lb , still a loss and we did go out for a meal and i have also dropped another point on BMI so that'll do me.
My Son and his lovely girlfriend are coming to stay for a few days this week so fingers crossed i wont stray too much.
I've finally bought the dress for the wedding, i wont show you a pic incase some nosey person (OH) finds this and see's it before the day but i am dead happy, it's lovely and was a complete bargain in Debenhams sale.
So my hope for this week is that i don't fall off the wagon as i've only 3 more wi's to go before the wedding.
WI no 11 and i lost 4.5 lbs, it's been a funny old 4 weeks with the little gain and a sts but the 2 losses still equalled 8 lbs so I'm happy with that.
Totm out of the way and now only 4 wi's till i get married so if i am lucky i can lose another half a stone, if i do it's great, if not i am happy as i can now get into a 20 comfortably and feel so much better that I'm not getting married as an 18 stone something bride.
Feeling really motivated again so here's to a good week :o)
Well i had my first sts, i am due for totm (today) but it's never really made any impact before so i don't know how i feel.
When i had my o.5 gain i felt the same as i do now, as if it's waste of a week of really good home cooking and pointing.
Grrr!
Oh and here are the last 3 months pics, i am hoping they show a difference?
WI today and i lost 3.5 lbs, thank goodness i did because after last week (even tho i knew it wasn't really a gain) i was struggling and felt like giving up.
I feel back on track now bought 2 new cookbooks from WW for fresh inspiration and already cooking a new recipe for tonight's dinner.
1lb to next drop on BMI , 2lbs to next silver 7 (5th) and 3lbs and i am in the 15's ......can't wait!
I gained 0.5 last week as predicted but i am convinced that because i hadn't eaten for 24 hrs before 6.5 loss WI it was a freak weigh so i didn't really lose all that and i didn't really gain if you get my drift? lol
Anyway this is short and sweet, WI tomorrow, just about stuck to points this week but it's been a struggle, hopefully once WI is over tomorrow i will get back to normal cos it sure did throw me!
I lost a whopping 6.5lbs this week, totally unexpected, i was secretly hoping for 2.5 to get my 10% so i got that easily and my 2 stone with 2 extra!
The pessimist in me says after 15lbs in 3 weeks i could be in for a shock next week so I'm ready for that and to be honest as lovely as it is i don't want it to come off too fast as i don't want saggy skin!
So my goal for my 10% by the wedding has been passed with 8 wi's to go :-)
This walking lark must be working, i went to WI and lost 3.5 lbs, my lovely leader decided to ask me all sorts of questions in front of the class about my 23.5 lb weight loss in 6 weeks and to be honest, it felt great to be recognised.
Had a funny old week, struggled a bit this week, I've managed to stay within points but there's just so much going on in my life at the moment, wedding to organise, OH got laid off, car broke (again) and it seems to have made me want to eat naughty things, but thankfully so far i have resisted.
We've been for a lovely long walk again tonight, earnt loads of bonus points so onwards and upwards, worse things happen at sea!
Indeed i am!
Tonight (night before weigh in, guilty feelings?) the OH ate the last banana so instead of walking to the local tesco which is 5 minutes away we decided to walk to Sainsburys. All in all it was 5 miles. So today i have done over 22,000 steps and earnt 9.5 bonus points.
Feeling rather chuffed with myself :-)
This week i lost 5lbs, oh my goodness, you should have seen my grin, i could hardly believe it!
I guess it was all the walking and exercise that i have been doing and maybe it was something to do with the 1lb loss the previous week, i'm now convinced it doesn't always come off the week you expect it to!
My dear OH and DD have both decided that we are all going to eat the same foods so that has made life 100% easier and they are starting to feel better and of course they want to go on long walks so we're all a good influence on each other.
I have started to cook from scratch, my ex hubby was a chef and moving in with him from mother's cooking i guess i never really bothered to learn so I'm really enjoying it and have spices and herbs in my kitchen now for the first time ever!
I've also cleared out the wardrobe and thrown away a bin bag of clothes, i am never going to fit into them again so why keep them? (fingers crossed)
Well all in all I'm still on track, still being good food wise although I've not been great on the exercise front as i had a bad foot (too much exercising last week lol) so tomorrow will tell.
Oh and it's that time, so it might be disappointing. :o(
Well at this weeks Wi i lost a lb, was i upset?
Well yes and no, i don't suppose i thought i would slow down as quick as WI 4 but it was in the right direction so after i had thought for a while, i was pleased that at least i hadn't gained or sts.
It's been a busy old week, Tuesday was spent at Alton Towers where i had......a maccy d's brekkie AND a KFC but the good news was that it was all pointed and i still had some points left when i got home, plus i walked nearly 9 miles , did 20,000 steps and earnt 9 activity points.
I forgot to mention that i finally bought a ww pedometer and that has definitely given me a boost this week, i find i am walking more even to the point where i am walking instead of catching buses.
I've also bought the lateral thigh trainer out of the loft and dear old sis in law to be has given me her mini trampoline and they both now sit in the kitchen diner. Not only am i going on them at various times in the day, the OH and daughter are often found on them so that's good.
I am going to fight through the pain barrier, my calves were aching like mad this week but that's passed and now it's my feet but i will press on, it can't last for ever and let's be honest, my muscles were bound to be in shock!
Tonight i cooked a lovely ww pointed meal for all 3 of us and i'm pleased to say instead of the usual vegging in front of the tv, we all went for a 3 mile walk.
I don't know what's happened to me, i am actually enjoying myself, so long may it continue!
Well there's not much to say, i'm 3 WI's in and have lost my first stone. My clothes are already getting looser and i have managed to get into a pair of skinny jeans that have been hiding in the wardrobe for about 4 months, and funnily enough they are more comfy that when i last wore them so that's all good!
I'm still coping well with WW, although i do wonder if i will soon approach a day when i am bored silly and want to eat my body weight in chocolate. I am sure the girls on the 5+stone board will soon sort me out if i do!
Here are some shocking pics that i took just before WI 2 & 3, i have always been camera shy so even taking them is a huge step!
The one in the sun was at Thorpe Cloud in the peak district where i did 6 mile walk, i am quite proud that i managed to do that at all because last year when i went i only managed about a mile before my inhaler (i'm asthmatic) came out and we had to give up so the signs are already promising :o)

Anyway that's enough for now, i have a day trip planned to Alton Towers this week, i'm going to persuade the OH to take a picnic if i can, other than that the usual boring grind of housework and work!
Well this is my start and a position i have been in many times before. I have always been bigger than your 'average woman' whatever average is, but this time i weighed in at my heaviest. My bathroom scales have been in the loft for about 18 months so i had no idea what i was going to be when i walked into my first ww meeting on the 22nd April.
I weighed in at a shocking 18.7lb and although i feared worse it was still more than i had even been when i had my 2 children.
I am not dieting for my appearance, i am doing it purely for my health. I am asthmatic again after 20yrs with no symptoms and i obviously know the risks of diabetes so here i am.
Whether i will succeed is a different matter, i know it will be hard but hopefully with the help of ww and the ww boards i will crack it, i am feeling more optimistic than i have ever done before.
29th April
First wi and i have lost 8lb, which was rather amazing because i had a night out with the girls from work which included a chinese buffet (not my choice but rather yummy) and quite a few vodka's and malibu's.(not mixed together i might add!)
I am so focused, long may it last.
