a gain of 4.5 lbs!
But...
I'm ok with that as i had a ball, and believe me, i have eaten and drunk alcohol for Britain so it's no surprise at all.
As the saying goes, when i am good (on plan) i am angelic, when i am bad, I'm bloomin good at that too!
It sort of all went downhill after the works Xmas party, the idea was to have a good week on plan before this weekend gone when i had a gig planned, typically i never got back on the wagon at all.
This weekend we went to a long awaited gig of my favourite band in Derby, you know when the barman asks in the first pub 'Do you want to double up for an extra £1?' that it's all going to go horribly wrong, i went on to have at probably another 15-20Malibu's and of course after a few i didn't know or care whether i was having diet coke or full fat coke with it.
We rolled in about 3am, and considering after that many drinks i didn't even feel drunk but sadly, when i woke up Sunday morning i thought i was dying.....Lol
We then decide to do it all again Sunday night and follow them to Manchester and after feeling rough all day and swearing i wasn't drinking again that night, the first drink i order was a Malibu, well, i thought the hair of the dog might work!?
Another great night, sadly this time followed by a cheeseburger and chips on the way home, which i was so busy scoffing instead of navigating that i got us so horribly lost and we end up in the high peak district somewhere,so ridiculously far from civilisation it was unreal, although i am sure it's beautiful in daylight!
Suffice to say it took an extra hour to get home, ie 2am, which leads to yesterday, VERY tired, VERY hungover and absolutely no self control as regards to food or diet.
Anyway, as of this morning, i am back on plan, there are 9 full days until Xmas so i will plan/try to stay on track until then, wish me luck!

Well i put the last 3 xmas parties pics together and at cats request have put them on here, let's just hope by next year i am not larger than this years!
and considering how badly i fell off the wagon at the weekend, i am more than happy with that.
I have done a lot of walking since the weekend so i expect that's counteracted a bit and it has got me moving again, i had become more reliant on buses to get to town/work and i needed a kick to get me going again.
Works Christmas do this weekend so i will be as angelic as possible until then, but after all, it's a Christmas dinner, which as we know, needn't be high in points, now the alcohol, that's a different matter!
Off to walk into town now to keep busy :o)
I found this thread while i was looking on the Gold and Maintenance board the other day and i have to say, it could have been written by me.
http://tinyurl.com/ya4a7vt
I think it took a lot of guts for the person to post this as i think there are a few gold members that would like to pretend all is rosy when you get to goal, i for one can say, it most certainly is not, i don't like to sound negative or moan because being 100lb+ lighter is wonderful but it doesn't automatically come with guide book of how to stay there and no matter how focused you can be on your journey, making wise choices etc, it can be so bloomin easy to slip back into old habits.
sts,
As my leader says, i should be happy with that.
I am and I'm not, it would have been nice to drop a lb but at least it's not a gain, something i can't afford to do until i have had my Christmas party!
Bearing in mind i have done no exercise the past week and i did go over points (by about 5) the 2 days pre WI, i have decided it's time to move more, which brings me to the new ww dvd.
I bought the full version today and i tried it out this afternoon, early signs are that i am going to like it, maybe even for at least a week?!
So that's my pledge for this week, i am not going to be a lazy moo and actually going to start walking again.
We shall see.....
I have lost for the first time in weeks and it was a rather fab 4lb :o)
I didn't do much exercise, well actually apart from the 10,000 steps i did a day i didn't actually do any extra as i normally get to that with work anyway.
I thought it was enough to concentrate on getting back to healthy eating but this week i am going to try to get out and have a few walks.
My DD has transferred to class with me this morning and Sally has asked her to take her tracker in next week so as some support i said i would do the same, there will be no doctoring so if that doesn't keep me on track this week , nothing will!
Today is day 5 and i am doing ok so far, not great on the exercise front but i have managed to stay within points, i even have to admit to feeling better for it, funny how we never learn isn't it?
All i have to do now is decide whether i will go to my usual class and have a week of 6 days or go back to the Wednesday class where i weighed last week and benefit from a whole weeks ww'ing, i have to say, it's far more lively so i might do that.....
and i managed to save 2 points.
I am on 21 points so IF i can i will save as many to make it a fast start but if i don't i wont beat myself up about it, staying IN points is more important.
I had a really good day foodwise as well, of course i had a Crunchie but that was my only treat, the other snacks were fruit only, and considering what i have been devouring of late, that is a miracle!
Hoping to have a good day, off to work and only taking a banana, will walk home to lunch, do the housework, walk dd to her WI and then cook dinner so hopefully i will by then have day 2 secured :o)
I gained 1lb so that's 6.5lb in 5 weeks.
I am going to try my hardest to get that back off before xmas.
Had a good chat with my leader and she asked what my plan for the week was, my answer was
'to get thru today in points first'
One day at a time.
So i am off to WI this morning, I've not been for 2 weeks, i have had some really good days, some not so bad days and a couple of 'awful' days in there so i have no idea what will be.
I am still under goal but as my dear pal Cat says 'I have to get out of this self destruct mode'. i know it would be so easy to blame it on giving up smoking , to be fair i think it did all start to slip then, but even that has slipped the last week :o(
I also think it might be time to eat my own words, when i was approaching goal it was so easy to say 'Oh i wont let myself go back to my old ways' but in reality, it can be so easy to do that, sometimes the good lessons you learn along the way are just too easy too forget.
Coupled with the fact i have been out a lot lately, worked a fair bit of overtime ( i always struggle when i am tired) packed up smoking, not been well, the list goes on but all these things make it so easy to stray....
Maintaining is darn hard work, my aim is to kick it into touch this morning, my leader text last night wondering where i have been and apparently she has a plan, let's hope it's a good one!
since i could be bothered to blog.
To cut a long story short i have been away, been to 2 gigs (another tomorrow) and generally ate and drank what i liked, oh and not forgetting somewhere in there i had swine flu and of course we all know the medicine for that is big bags of giant buttons....right?
And in this time i have felt 'hormonally challenged' i seem to go from being totally irrational (wanting to slap a woman that wanted to give me a leaflet in town) to wanting to cry my eyes out.
I had to have blood tests earlier in the month as i kept going faint, frequent dizziness and vibration in my legs, I got called back for a retest on my liver so i am off to the docs as he has requested to see me, presumably something was found, we shall see?
And contrary to what my mother says about alcohol, it wont be that, maybe 20 years ago but I barely drink now!
Anyway the upshot is i have felt pretty crap, ate for Britain, gained 5.5lb and only just got back on the wagon ie; yesterday, all i can say to those people that have helped me these past few weeks is Thank You, you know who you are and I'm so glad that i can rely on you as clearly there are some people that i can't rely on......
that's what i got through by this week!
I lost 0.5 lb this week but considering it wasn't the best week i have been lucky.
So that leaves me 2.5lb to get the 8 stone before we go to Blackpool and that's one more wi so it's not looking hopeful.
I do plan to have a good week, but bearing in mind i was in this frame this time last week and it went to pot, i wont hold my breath.
That little gremlin is sitting on my shoulder saying 'why are you bothering when you are going to gain next week when you drink your body weight in alcohol?'
Well although i am off work from Saturday, i am not going away until next Wednesday so theoretically i can have a good wi, but will i stay strong or will i go off the wagon on Saturday?
Answers on a postcard please?
to everyone that follows and comments on my blog.
I am up to 77 followers now and i love reading your comments on my posts, i don't always get the time to read everyone's blogs in return but i do try and comment when i can so please don't feel neglected/ignored if i don't.
It is real people like yourselves that keep me going, especially in tough times ie; since goal! :o(
can i manage 2 in a row?
We shall see, if i do it'll be the first week in ages!
Well i went to WI this morning and lost 3 lbs, we had a bit of a moment of confusion as last week i forgot my card and my leader hadn't logged my weight the previous week, the long and short of it was that i didn't gain 4lbs last week, it was 'only' 3.5, much better don't you think?? Lol
Total embarrassment this morning, we had a stand in leader and she asked me lots of questions, it's nice, don't get me wrong but i do feel so sorry for the other people in my class, most have heard it all before and i sit there worrying that they hate me and wish i would shut up!
I also put my mouth into gear before my brain and disagreed with something she said, she did say i was right 'in a way' but i really shouldn't have said anything.
Someone had asked how many points they would need to eat before they gained, well she said 1 or 2 extra a day, now bearing in mind that i have eaten 5-6 a day extra and still had a 2lb loss before, and this week i averaged 22-24 a day ( theoretically i should be on 21) and lost 3 lb, surely it's down to the individuals metabolism and exercise levels?
Anyway, i must try harder to keep my gob shut, but i stand by the fact it's not cut and dried and just down to 'number's, we are all different after all?
Opinions on a postcard.....

Well i got through yesterday, so that's a plus.
(by the way, jelly and yogurt is yummy, even if it does look a horrible mess lol)
I have been to WI and gained 4lbs, i am ok with that, it could have been a lot worse!
I have changed my stats on here and on my ww profile so what you see is what i weigh, no more 'forgetting' to change them for fear of looking a failure.
I ate, i gained, it's my fault, i need to learn from this and move forward.
We are off to Blackpool in 3 weeks to take Sarah to see the lights so i would love to have the 4 off by then and maybe the extra 2 to get my 8 stone but i wont push it, but i AM going to stay focused, no more big bags of giant buttons for me.
Everything was going ok, i was off the cigs, felt ok but suddenly last thursday i had one of those 'i fancy a binge' moments (please say i am not the only one that has them?)
I can't even remember how much i had, but suffice to say i overate and one thing i can remember are the 2 bags of giant buttons and i am pretty sure they are 22 points each!!
Oh and the numerous mini chomps ( i will not go in the cadbury shop again and buy in bulk, i promise!)
Friday was no better, i went out with a mate from work to Loughborough where we ended up in a pub eating burger and chips and drinking smirnoff ice ......at lunchtime, so you can see where this is going, the whole day went pearshaped and after the ice cream (well the sun was out) and the kit kat caramel (in for a penny in for a pound) i even had bloomin KFC for tea!
So we get to Saturday, actually for someone that was sent home from work as i felt sick, (which i am sure was just pure over indulgence) i surpassed myself and on the journey to Crawley for a gig, i managed to get through a whole bag of foxes glacier fruits...note to self, next time, pick something nicer, ie cadbury's eclairs ;o)
So there i was all dressed up for the gig and i should have known it was a bad sign when i decided to change out of my dress and put on my 'comfy and large' size 14 jeans, t- shirt and my trainers, which actually was fine as no one was that dressed up as it was a laid back affair but of course i felt all relaxed so i would hazard a guess that at least 15 smirnoff ices were drunk, not forgetting the compulsory spring roll from the chinese!
Eeek, this list gets longer, Sunday morning we wake up in the b&b and have a full breakfast, lots of yummy toast ( i rarely eat bread) with real butter.
Bag of nuts in the car (almost healthy?)
Arrived home and went to Asda, totally shattered so i decide to make quick and easy Spag Bol, it's a ww recipe so that's ok?
Well it is unless you also have cheese and garlic bread AND doughballs, finished off with Lemon Meringue Pie!
So after that lot it will come as no surprise that i got on the scales on Monday morning to a gain of 9lbs!!
So as of yesterday i am firmly back on the wagon and a small consolation is this morning's SP already says that gain is now 'only' 5.5lbs
Hopefully i can repair some of the damage this week.
At weigh in today i lost 1.5lbs, but i have my theory....
I was never really convinced that i had gained 2.5lbs last week, well i know that's what the scales said but i was sure it was just sheer volume from the Chinese as opposed to weight so considering this last week i had a minimum of 26 points a day plus Friday's mammoth binge i really shouldn't have lost so all in all i think it's just been a case of evening itself out.
That said, i was very pleased, i was afraid of what 3 gains in 3 weeks would have done to my motivation, at least i am in a better frame of mind to be as good as i possibly can before the weekend where i will more than likely drink my body weight in Smirnoff Ice :o)
Had a good chat with my leader about my yo yo weigh ins, i seem to be up one week, down the next these days but she reminded me i was 'fat' for a lot longer than i have been 'thin' so it will take some time to adjust.
And the best thing for me is, i am still not smoking and surprisingly not bothered by it!
since i posted, i am so lazy!
Sadly last week i gained 2.5lbs, not unexpected as I had been out for 2 chinese buffets in one week and i was dubious about the 2lb loss the week before so i think it evened itself out a bit!
The good news is i have now been a non smoker since last Monday night, at the moment i am doing ok, i am not missing the ciggies in the slightest and long may that continue
but.....
I am certainly not doing very well on the food front, i am very picky at the moment and fear yet another gain tomorrow, which is not good as we are away at the weekend so that could just be 3 gains in 3 weeks :o(
Another But, i am happier to have the gains than to have given in and lit up, i can lose the lbs when i settle into being a non smoker, at least so far i am succeeding! :o)
Well the plan to raise the tracker seems to be working.
If you read my last post i was on 21 to lose but raised it to 26 to maintain and funnily enough, i seem to be eating less that 26 and 'saving' about 4-5 a day so i am really on 21, funny how the brain works isn't it?
I guess that goes a little way to proving that a lot of what we do is controlled by the mind and not the stomach!
This week although i had a good week exercise wise but a not so good week food wise i still somehow managed to lose 2lbs :o)
So now I just want to get the last 1.5lb off to make 8 stone in total and then i am done, no more losing, well intentionally anyway!
nothing will!
Right,
Today i have decided to set my tracker to maintain, it was on 21 points so i still lost that little bit of holiday gain but i have come to thinking, i am still 8.5lbs under goal so why am i stressing, my size 12 jeans fit and that's what makes me happy so why do i punish myself week in week out over numbers?
Having my points tracker on 21 and i last week i went over EVERY day, over the week it averages out about 5 points extra a day so this week i am going to see if having it set at 26 actually makes me feel a bit more comfortable and not so restricted, following me still?
I am wondering if i actually see i have 'numbers' left i wont feel compelled to carry on eating for the sake of it.....
I went to the gym 5 days out of 7 last week so i have no idea what difference it will make to wi this week, i guess it's possible to show a gain but i feel better for it so i will take whatever those dreaded scales say.
Anyway this just goes to show that my theory that maintenance was always going to be harder than actual losing is spot on, it's all a bloomin' minefield!
the gym!
So we went for our induction on Monday night, we really just saw how everything worked and had a little go but had our first 'proper' session on Tuesday and since then we have been 3 times and yep, we're off there again today.
I haven't gone hell for leather as i didn't want to wake up in the morning and find i couldn't move but so far so good, no aches and pains and i push myself a little bit further every time.
Today i have been out and bought a new swimming costume in a size 12, how chuffed am i ?!?!
(the one in my wardrobe was a size 22!)
So after convincing hubby to also get some swim shorts we are going to finish it off with a swim and jacuzzi, shame they don't have a joint sauna or i would drag him in there too, i love sauna's but i doubt i have the patience to sit in one alone.
Other than that i don't know what else i will do this weekend, maybe a walk in the peak district somewhere nice if i can find somewhere quiet to avoid the BH crowds.....unlikely eh?
when i decided i was going to stop blogging, i suppose i didn't think there was a reason any more and i did doubt that many people actually read my ramblings but comments that i have had on here and from other people elsewhere have proved me wrong so here i am again.
Well i have had an 'ok' week, the tracker is set at 21 points per day as i changed it to lose the holiday gain, i have to admit i went over most days, not by many but the good news is that i lost 2lbs at wi so i am now only 1.5lb away from my lowest weight.
Hubby is delighted to have lost 7.5lbs last week and i must admit i am finding it a help that he is on the plan, as i have reported before, since goal i have found it harder to resist the odd cake or sweets so now of course as he is not eating them it makes it easier for me to say 'no thanks' too.
This week should be interesting as i have finally joined a gym, initially it's only for a 4 week trial, hubby wants to do it more than me but i will give it a go and see how much i use it before i commit to the 12 month contract.
Saying that i really enjoyed the induction last night so we are off tonight to have a 'proper go' and strangely enough i am really looking forward to it :o)
If nothing else it will keep me away from the tv and the usual temptation of eating rubbish in front of the soaps!
What it will mean at the scales will be interesting to see.
I think i have come to the end of my blogging journey, i don't really have anything interesting to say anymore (if i ever did!)
Thanks to everyone that has followed me and helped with support and motivation to get to goal.
Best of luck to everyone that has yet to get there, stay positive and you can and WILL do it! :o)
Well i went to class today having had 4 full days back on plan and believe it or not i am pleased to report i have gained 3.5 lbs.
So all in all considering i was only on plan for 4 out of 14 days i am quite happy with that and bearing in mind both my scales and the Wii said it was 13lb this time last week i think that's a darn good result!
Back to basics and Karl (my hubby) has now decided he wants to follow points so with luck and hard work a good proportion of that gain will be gone within a few weeks! :o)
So off we went to London, i 'think' i was pretty good considering, foodwise i was certainly more careful not to just eat for the sake of it and exercise wise over the 2 days we walked 24 miles and i earned 14bp's....
So why did my wii fit tell me i had gained another 4lbs!!
Well anyway, there's nothing i can do about it, be it retention, totm(sorry fellas), pills prescribed to stop totm (which i stopped as they turned me into a raging looney) or whether i was just a big fat pig!
I am back on the wagon, i got through yesterday, day 1 back is always the hardest i find, and i am determined to do my best until Tuesday where i WILL go to wi and face the consequences.
I know i am still under goal but i am still rather bleedin cross with myself, it might sound mad but as much as I say I wont go back to old ways and weight, gaining anything at this stage makes me feel like it's all going to miraculously creep back on overnight :o(
Well we got back yesterday from our annual punk festival, absolutely shattered and according to the Wii a massive gain.
After a lot of hard work (if you don't count the Saturday night) i managed to lose 4.5lbs, so that's all of last weeks gain gone, just in time for my holiday!
I'm very pleased it's gone but i know the next 2 weeks are likely to show a gain, off to Blackpool for the festival today, i am going to weigh in next Tuesday as normal, it would be fabulous if the gain was as small as last year (2.5lb) but i wont hold my breath as i don't have as much of a goal this year so i will admit i might just not be quite as good as i was then....
But,
I am going to try hard to resist the Kebab shop on the way home in the early hours each morning and skip the burgers (they are about the best burgers I've had so no promises!)
Then it's off to London next Wednesday but i WILL be back on track on the Friday so no more excuses as nothing else is planned for ages.
but sadly they went right out the window!
My mate and i started off being the first at the pub so we got a bottle of wine, not even 2 glasses out of a bottle so not bad.
Got to the Chinese restaurant and it all went horribly wrong, 2 plates of Chinese later and a bowl of desert i had failed!
I did stick to Malibu's though rather than my usual smirnoff ice and only had 5, so drinks wise it was a lot better than it could have been.
We called it a night about 11.30, i had been up since 5am so i had had enough, got to bed about 1am and was then up again at 5.30am, what's that all about?
Just remembered, we stopped in a shop to buy mate some booze and they had a hersheys nutrageous, don't see them very often and they are delish, so i had one, but we'll gloss over the eh? Shhhhh....
So off we went for a walk to Carsington again, i like it there as it's a decent length walk so by the end of yesterday i had done 26,000 steps, 11.5 miles and earned 6 bp's.
I am hoping the exceptionally good week pre Chinese and the good day i had yesterday and will have today will counteract some of the Chinese.
We will see!
having a social life!
After last weekends excess and inevitable gain, i have been an absolute angel since weigh in, wii fit has me at a 5lb loss this morning which matches my own scales (obsessive or what?)
Great news!
But i am out this evening at a Chinese Buffet with all the girls from work, i am going to 'try' not to drink, i will probably get slated and called boring for doing so, and hopefully make some decent choices but i am realistic to know it could all go horribly wrong :o(
Seeing as we are off on Wednesday, i really wanted as much of that gain gone before we went away so it's a bit disheartening to know that all my hard work this week might be ruined by just one bloomin night!
Wish me luck!
The rain that is, it's my day off and it's not stopped all bloomin day!
I had planned a nice long walk to Asda and back as i wanted to make the 0 point mushroom curry for dinner, i keep holding off but it really looks like it's here for the duration, and as much as i don't mind a bit of rain, i don't fancy getting totally soaked through.
So i have re thought the dinner and it's now Tikka Masala as i have everything for that, it eats up my points a bit more when i was trying to have as many low point days as possible before Saturday but i have tracked it all and after dinner i still have 3.5 left so i can have a crunchie :o)
And the even better news, jumped on the wii this morning to compare with yesterday before wi and i am 3 lb down, it might not be gospel but considering the amount of times i went to the loo yesterday, I'm hoping a large proportion of the gain was retention.....i do hope so!
I calmed down after a while and a few texts went back and forth with my leader and considering it was only last week that she asked me to do the monthly pass sign ins and new members, i could hardly not go.
I gained 4.5lbs
And in all honesty, i can take that, i know i went totally overboard and in a way i am happy that little binge is out of the way.....
But
I am going to try really hard and do 18 points until Saturday night as i am going out for a Chinese buffet (god help me!) with the girls from work.
Then i weigh in next Tuesday and on the Wednesday we are off to Blackpool for the Rebellion Punk Festival for 5 days, now if anyone can tell me where i can get a healthy meal in Blackpool that can also serve meals in about 45 mins to an hour i would be eternally grateful, oh and it has to be near the Winter Gardens (some hope)
I wont hold my breath if last year is anything to go by, we have to eat between bands, so it's usually a rushed affair, so i fully expect to come home and rush off to Asda to stock up on veg and salad as by that time i am craving the green stuff.
So basically i don't expect much from the next 2 weigh ins but after that i have no excuses and WILL get back to normal!
I have just been on the wii, i went totally off plan on Saturday, went to an all day party yesterday, drank ridiculous amounts of Smirnoff Ice at 2.5 points a bottle, wont even go into the food, apparently i have gained 7lbs!
No way am i getting on the scales at ww for that! :o(
Let's not mention it eh?
Bad day is an understatement, be easier to list what i didn't eat!
Today?
Likely to be as bad, off to a bbq/40th birthday party/boozy punk gig.
Eek!

Well i finally braved a tattoo, i certainly wouldn't have had one a year ago and would definitely not have got my arms or back out on show for anyone to see.
Hubby was convinced i would bottle it, goodness knows why, i didn't even think it hurt!
And i think it's true, once you have one you are addicted and now planning another one to even it up :o)
And i can happily report i stayed the same.
Very happy with that but i am really going to get my maintenance head on this week, i have changed my points allowance on the tracker to maintain so i am now on 26 points a day and will stick to that (weekend willing) and see what happens.
Ever since i got to goal i have lapsed a bit, going over one day, making it up another so i just want one week where i try to keep on an even keel.
I do say weekend willing as Karl and i are off to Watford at the weekend to a 40th birthday party, it's the lead singer of one of my favourite bands, i feel so honoured to have been personally invited, how sad am i !?!
Plus
I am finally meeting up with a lovely lady that i have been speaking too online for about 3 years, we've been through some very good and also very bad times together, i wont go into all that here but suffice to say she means an awful lot to me so i am just hoping we get on as well in the flesh!
And finally,
On Thursday i am having my 1st tattoo, Karl is sure i will bottle out which of course makes me more determined, i mean, it can't be any worse than childbirth can it?
Plus he's paying so all the better :o)
Tomorrow is WI day again and it doesn't seem like 5 minutes since last weeks, is that a sign that i am getting old?
Have i done enough to make up for the birthday treats?
We went for an 8 mile walk yesterday again around Carsington Water, it was a lot easier than the first time but i still maintain it's not the easiest of walks, we even went when there were black clouds hovering, something i would NOT have contemplated a year or so ago, it did spit a bit on the way around but luckily we got to the end and had a celebratory cuppa (and ice cream) and just got the the car when the heavens opened.....Good timing!
Ache all over today, think my body is telling me it's tired after the extra walking i have done this week, i have totted up 40 miles and don't my knees know it!
My day off today and i did muster up the energy to go for a walk, albeit a short 2.5 miles but better than nothing.
As long as i can get a sts i will be happy.
Well i am on day 5 of damage limitation from the birthday excess.
So when i got to goal i was on 21 points, theoretically i can now eat an extra 6 a day so the 4 days since weigh in i could have had 108 points, i have had 106 and earned 15 bp's so we will see if i survive and get a sts.
Do you ever feel like all these numbers drives you nuts, i know i do!
I left off work this morning with the idea i was going to Muffin Break come hell or high water to have a hot chocolate and cake, glad to say i managed to resist and instead went grocery shopping (whilst very hungry) and came home, packed it away and had a ......salad.
Apparently we are off walking somewhere tomorrow, probably long and in the Peak District somewhere, let's hope it's as nice as today as we've lost today whilst he snores away on the sofa.
Men!
Ok so i went over yesterday, in fact i tracked everything and came out at 43 points, taking off the 4 bp's i earned and the 6 i am 'allowed' for maintenance i am on day 2 of the week with a 12 point deficit.....could be a lot worse!
So far today i have been on an 8 mile cycle ride, done 40 mins on the wii fit and about to walk the 3 miles to Asda to get salad/veg etc so i should have a few more bp's in the bank by the end of the day.
It's now 4.13 pm and i have only had 8.5 points, 1 of those were the Rhubarb & Custard ww sweets and they work a treat as my stomach is now gurgling like a washing machine so it's putting me off any kind of food, maybe that's their plan?? Lol
I am going to have a low point tuna salad for dinner with some sf jelly and yoghurt, i just want to eat relatively healthy today, not just for the points but to rid my body of all that chocolate rubbish i ate yesterday.
That's if my tummy's not still on fast spin!
Well i did maintenance last week and averaged 5-6 points over each day and went to weigh in and lost...
2lb!
I didn't do a lot of exercise other than walking to and from work one day and walking home another, no extra long walks or no cycle rides so i can't even think the exercise outweighed the extra points.
Today is my birthday and there are no exciting treats planned other than i am making Lasagne tonight with REAL cheese :o)
I could have gone out for a meal but to be honest i would rather save the money for our holidays.
I am now 2lb away from my 8 stone loss and as i told my leader today i have 3 weeks left until we go to Blackpool for our anniversary long weekend/ punk festival, i have now got a leeway of 15lbs before i have to pay for meetings again, i seriously doubt i could gain that in 5 days so after that i am really going to have to work out this maintenance lark once and for all.
I went into town this morning, really only to go to the bank but having my daughter with me we ended up trawling the shops and that always includes a trip to New Look etc so i thought i would look through the sale as i need some new jeans.
I am so chuffed as i got 2 new pairs of jeans in size 12 and only paid £19 for the two :o)
I thought i would post a pic in my new clobber
Last weekend was manic, this weekend is quiet and boring as hubby is at work doing 12 hr shifts and i am home alone :o(
Can't win can you?
I have had a 'good' week, having a look at my tracker it seems i am averaging about 5 points over my daily allowance and the maintenance says 6 so we will see what Tuesday brings.
I had another one of those telling off moments from one of the 'older' ladies at work, she had that look my mum would have and told me in no uncertain terms i now need to eat!
In a way it's kind of funny as i think everyone assumes i don't eat anymore, or maybe i haven't been eating for the last 14 months, i give up telling them i do eat and even when i explained what i ate last weekend and still lost i just got this face full of concern.
I don't think for a minute she wants me to gain, maybe they just need time (as i do) to adjust to seeing me looking totally different to the girl they met 2 yrs ago?
This week i was trying on new uniform for work, some/most people will know i work for Evans and now have to wear their uniform which is too big, i tried on a lovely top, suffice to say it was baggy, so off i trotted onto the shop floor in said top to see if a belt would make it look any better and a random customer said 'It's looks lovely, now get back in the fitting room, you are far too skinny'
She didn't mean it in a cruel way at all but it's things like this that still shock me, i just don't see what they see, and to be honest i think i annoy people with the way i see myself still so hopefully that will change in time?
Soon hopefully!
Not up to much today other than maybe a bike ride or walk to Asda's later as i want a memory stick, other than that it will be cooking the roast and trying to get 5 minutes conversation out of hubby tonight before he falls asleep through exhaustion!
Funny how once upon a time i loved just sitting on my rear end doing nothing, now i find it so dull!
I went to WI today totally expecting a gain, anything from 2lb onwards but less than 4lbs would have been ok but i
Lost 1 lb
How?
I seemed to do nothing but eat all weekend so to say i was shocked was an understatement.
Must be good this week or it might come back to bite me on the backside.
It's 4 weeks now until we go back to Blackpool for our first anniversary and we have gigs and parties in between now and then so i am going to have to try and have as many good days as possible.
Life's strange, we do nothing on the social front for months and then everything comes along at once!
Here she is just before she left to meet the limo, we had a bit of a disaster as she went to the hairdresser's and had her hair curled but it all collapsed and fell out, with 30 minutes to go.
Poor girl was so upset and threatening not to go but luckily she calmed down and went on to thoroughly enjoy herself.
And in the limo,
Points wise the weekend has been a total wipeout, Smirnoff Ices, Chinese, Bacon Rolls, Pizza Hut and a meal in an Italian restaurant last night but it's been a once in her lifetime weekend and i'm prepared to take a gain, it'll be worth it as she's had a fab weekend.
Karl and i went to a great gig last night and i got some fab compliments, the lead singer's first words (who hasn't seen me for 3 yrs) were 'oh my god, you've lost some weight!' in his rather sexy geordie accent :o)
Apparently when he was talking to Karl he said only realised it was me by my eyes!
And someone else said i looked 'sexy as flip*', now where i think he might have had beer goggles on, i was rather chuffed as i wore the shortest skirt i possess and never thought i would dare to wear in my home town, so maybe it didn't look that bad?
The points went out the window, i knew as soon as the first Smirnoff Ice went down so easily that it was going to be a good night but i did stop at about 8 as i needed to keep a clear head but 8 is 20.5 points alone!
Well it's now 6.42 am, i have had no sleep and was making bacon sandwiches for the teens at 4am but glad to say i resisted, i did attempt to go to bed but hearing a splattering at about 3am i got up to discover one kind teen had left rather a mess, I'll leave the rest to your imagination :o(
So in reality, it's hardly surprising i resisted the bacon after clearing that lot up!
Most of them are still awake and i am kinda hoping they either get in the tents for a kip or go home as i want to blitz my living room as I'm not liking the way your feet stick to the floor.
But you know, it's only once in a lifetime for my daughter and I'd rather have the mess than have her hanging around town, at least i could keep a relative eye on them here and know she was safe.
It's going to be a long day, let's hope i can get back on plan and last until bedtime!
* same first letter, you get the rest.....
Well not such a good start, probably didn't get to sleep until gone 12am and now up again at 4am....not good because.....
Tonight is DD's prom.
So yesterday after work i spent the afternoon making my back garden look like glastonbury Part 2 (hopefully without the music) as i have 15 (ever growing) 16 yr olds sleeping over in tents.
And my god, stressy, nervous excited teenagers are mad, they were bad enough yesterday so i dread to think what they will be like tonight!
I am off to work early then when i get home i have a delivery from b&q of 50+ patio slabs and 15 bags of cement/sand to lug round to the back garden, should help the bingo wings somewhat!
Then DD is off to the hairdresser's and seeing she's already stressing they will mess her hair up, i am pretty sure we will have an afternoon worrying about whether her hair,make-up, nails, dress etc looks ok.
Once we have dropped her off we then get back home to get ready to go to a gig, the good news ww wise is i wont be able to have a few drinks (which invariably leads to something from kebab shop) as i need to be a responsible adult (for once) and stay on my toes keeping that lot in order later!
Oh dear, i am going to need super patience/willpower/energy/humour if i am going to get through the next 24 hrs with my sanity intact, wish me luck!
And how good it was to see the scales say that!
If you've read below you will know why i was relieved, I'd like to say it gives me an idea of what i can get away with but of course i can't really be sure, and seeing as we are going to another gig on Friday it will be interesting to see what this week brings.
It's 11.30am and i already have 9,000 on my pedometer as i walked into town (boy, it was hot work) and shortly i will have some lunch and as it's my day off i am going to go on a bike ride armed with a bottle of water and a book that i bought this morning and go sit in the countryside somewhere and chill, total peace and away from the temptation of the fridge.
A huge difference from this time last year when i would have hidden in the house in the shade with the curtains closed and a fan on, i love summer! :o)
over by so many points i couldn't begin to count!
Well i lie as after typing that i decided to look on Wetherspoons for the nv's for my tiny bowl of carbonara, oh my good god it was 19 points!!
So after a copious amount of smirnoff ices (2.5 points each) you can just imagine what i had when the gig was over...... yep, i went past a kebab shop and got a cheeseburger AND cheesy chips but i guess the only good thing i did do yesterday was leave the chips.
This is not the most flattering pic that was taken last night but i wanted to put it on as these 3 men are from the band The Crack, who i am sure you wont have heard of but they are responsible for the music that is on my weight loss video, they seemed quite impressed i used their track :o)
Anyway, i am shattered, got in and got to bed at 3 am and back up at 9 am (very late for me) so it's an early night with 5 points saved!
We are about to head off to a gig and having seen the pictures i can't decide whether to change my whole outfit as all i can see are lumps and bumps!!
(hoping the varicose veins will subside in the 2 hr journey)
please little minds, so they say?
It's funny how you suddenly realise the silly little things that weightloss brings.
For instance, on our walk on Sunday we got to a gate with a stile beside, now once upon a time i would have demanded the gate open, Sunday i went over the stile, no bother.
Today i needed some more salad stuff, once upon a time if i hadn't got what i wanted for dinner i would have rearranged what we were having, now i just cycle to Asda, 5 mile round trip, somewhere i only ever went in the car i can assure you!
Sounds daft i guess but these little things really give me cheer and make me realise how much more freedom i have (and energy)
And last year, in this heat i would have been hiding indoors with a fan beside me, now i can't wait to get out.
Long may it continue :o)
And i lost 1lb this week, totally amazed as a SP said i had gained and i dithered about going but the hubby said i must, so glad he was forceful!
Things were said about he likelihood that i could stop but i am pretty certain i will stop at 10st7, that way i will have hit 8 stone exactly and i should be a comfortable size 12 by then as at the moment i can fit into some but not all and i didn't diet to wear baggy clothes!
I thought i would be happy at goal but there's just a few things i need to iron out.....
I am dreading maintainance when i actually do it properly!
Well this week we finally went to Carsington Water, it's a reservoir owned by Severn Trent Water and has a cycle/walking route of 7.5 miles.
We've been meaning to go for ages but i assumed it was more a man made kind of walk and was never that sure, i am glad we did, it was beautiful, we went early in the morning and even though the sun didn't really make an appearance it was so peaceful and to just hear the birds singing was lovely...
But...
By god, the walk was hard, it seemed to get longer as we went round as opposed to shorter, there were loads of hills so it really worked us. Here is a very dull picture, the buildings on the other side was where we were making our way to.
On the plus side by the time we got home i had walked over 20,000 steps and by the end of the day i had totted up 5.5 activity points......just as well as i succumbed to the ice cream man that came around tonight and had a 99! Ooops!
Can i just say, no one is more amazed than me that i am even still doing this at week 60,i read back over my blog and i found a bit where at week 17 i was still amazed to be following the plan so to be this far really shocks me at times!
So anyway, weigh in today and i lost....
3lbs
Which means i got my 15th silver seven and i am now in the 10 stones :o)
Fanflippintastic!
I have been angelic this week, my first full week since getting to goal!
I definitely think texting my leader each night helped but i have to say i felt so guilty bothering her that it only lasted 3 nights but those 3 nights got me firmly back on plan.
We've been out on the bikes this weekend and totalled 25 miles so that's not too bad and we've had a lovely day out at Foxton Locks today, it was lovely to see all the pretty canal boats ,the weather was glorious and i resisted the bacon sandwiches hubby and daughter had :o)
Now the picture i really hate, i can't believe the state of my arms, i have got this far and never realised how awful they look, whether i can do anything about it now or it's too late remains to be seen but i am going to have to try something!
Wii fit is showing a good loss this week, whether it is there on Tuesday is another matter, i'd love 2lb off for my 15th silver seven but it will come at some point if not this week.
Thanks for that Cat ;o)
Anyway, i was called that because i went to my 2nd ww meeting in 2 days, same leader, same talk but i have to say it turned out to be a totally different meeting.
When i walked in Sally reminded me she was going to talk about the same as yesterday but i did admit that i didn't really hear much of yesterday's meeting as my mind was only thinking about whether i could actually maintain this loss.
I was welcomed and it was mentioned why i was there and to be honest it was great as there were quite a few people there already at goal, some that had been there a while and one lovely lady that had been at goal 3 times so it was nice to have new people to talk to that actually understood where i am in my head right now.
So all in all it was the right decision to go to another class and no disrespect to all the people i have met at my regular meeting but i am seriously thinking about having a new start at another class.
I even ended up walking home and having a chat with 2 other members which was nice as one of them was the lady who had come up to me after class, so maybe a change will keep me focused?
Well i went to wi and i gained 0.5lb, which in itself didn't bother me, i think i got away lightly but looking back over my activity tracker for the week and totalling up the cycling (39 miles) and walked (45miles) i think it's safe to say that that was what saved me from an even bigger gain.
If i am honest most of the meeting passed in a haze, no disrespect to Sally my leader but i was all of a sudden filled with this fear that i am going to do the same this week and found it hard to focus, it's hard to explain but the urgency has gone and where i would have resisted, it seems to be getting easier to cave in and have that odd treat.
Now i know i shouldn't feel so guilty and a treat is ok but i must admit i am scared that the treats will become one too many. Saying that we did have the weekend alone and that's not something that happens very often and it was the hubby's birthday but this week i have nothing on so i can have NO excuses.
Sally has asked me to text her of an evening this week to tell her what i have had points wise so hopefully i will snap back into things!
Wish me luck, i must be strong!
Ok, this is my weekend so far,
Saturday 5.30am , eat breakfast and go to work, determined to stay on plan considering Friday was the first day i had stayed within points since WI.
8.00 am, colleague turns up and the conversation somehow turns to Maccy Ds , not hard when you consider we both used to have them for breakfast every day pre ww, but we resist....
10am and 4 hrs work later my resolve is weakening and no sooner than we mention it again i am over the road buying 3 breakfasts for us and another weak minded colleague!
Ok, not the end of the world points wise, i can make that up can't i?
Well i could if i didn't then leave off at 12 and go for a coffee with the same colleague, the coffee turned into a hot chocolate and in for a penny, i also had a slice of Banana Cake AND Cream...
Oh dear,
So i get home and try to point it all up somehow, by this time i am thinking, 'oh forget it' and eat a Crunchie!
So with all this in mind and the fact it is hubby's birthday this weekend and my daughter is away so we have the house to ourselves i decide i might as well have the weekend off.....
So he texts me to say he is on his way home from work, at that point i decide we might as well go out for dinner.
We drive out to a lovely little pub and i have sirloin steak, chips, mushrooms soaked in oil, onion rings and peas , i of course then need a desert so follow it up with Apple Pie and Ice Cream!
I have to say it was lovely and i didn't feel guilty!
Waking up this morning and wishing him a Happy Birthday i thought it would be cruel to stress about getting back on the wagon and ruining his day worrying about points so i decide to have today off too.....
Lunch was,
2 rather yummy crusty rolls with ham and cheese, a mini pork pie, a scotch egg and REAL walkers crisps, followed by not one but TWO doughnuts!
By 2.30 i am asleep on the sofa, something i haven't done for absolutely months and months but i felt awful, i was so lethargic that waking up at 4pm i decided the only thing to do was go for a bike ride.
So 10 miles and an hour of cycling later something has clicked again, i have slapped myself hard and realised i was kidding myself, i haven't had a weekend off, i have just made myself ILL!
So as i am typing this i am sat with a bottle of cold water and a packet of Rennie Deflatine's, i am so full i can't even contemplate a cup of tea so let this be a lesson to myself, treats might be nice at the time but i ultimately pay the price and i just hope i remember this next time i am tempted!
BMI that is, not age (sadly)
Rather chuffed that the 1lb loss at wi took me to 24, as being stuck on 25 made me feel i was only just healthy so to drop down another point is good news!
Hopefully i am feeling a bit more motivated this week, i am determined not to pick, we shall see if it lasts but i did start off well as i walked home from my meeting in the heat, so already at 1.30pm i have done 13,001 steps and already earned myself 2.5 bonus points.
We will more than likely go out again on the bikes tonight, we seem to be averaging about 10 miles a night so long may the nice weather remain :o)
for the week.
As you can tell i haven't had the best of weeks but in reality its nothing like i would have been pre ww, i feel like i have done nothing but pick, mostly it has been 0.5 lollies or 1point french fries and the like but i feel like i have been permanently eating, not good.
I must break this cycle, it seems the urgency has gone and i must sort this asap, on the brighter side once upon a time i would have been diving into a bag of giant buttons that i think are 22 points alone so all is not lost.....yet!
On the exercise front i have been an angel, considering i had 2 lazy days Tuesday and Wednesday i have finished the ww week having cycled 60 miles and walked 52 so we will see how it all balances out tomorrow, watch this space.
Well apart from the partying daughter thats still in bed (god knows how on a day like this!)
The husband has gone to work and i was thinking.....
A year ago in the same scenario i would have maybe done the housework and spent most of the day pottering about, not doing much but today i have already....
Blitzed the house, hung 3 lines of washing out, showered and taken myself off on a bike ride, just a short one today (7 miles) but while i was out it made me think how much i have changed, i was riding along, singing my head off and whistling to my ipod without a care in the world and i realised that this time last year i just wouldn't have done that.
I would have stayed indoors out of the sun, waiting for some company before i even thought about doing anything, i have the energy and confidence to just take off and do what 'I' want now and you know,
'Its great!'
More proof , if needed that weight loss really does change your life for the better :o)
Well this is my first attempt so not a great one but here are my pics of the last 2 years.
Be warned, some of the pictures are shockers but i need them to remind me as well as show you!
Well we got up at the crack of dawn (as per) this morning so we got ready and went out for a walk.
We arrive in Ilam at 7.30am and walked to Thorpe to do our usual 6 mile walk, it was glorious, sunny and lovely and quiet, all we could hear was the running stream and the birds singing, that has to be better than lying in bed?
I was stomping ahead as i do and turned around to see Karl had been taking a picture of me, when i asked why, he said it was so i could my backside, apparently i do not have one now!
So here it is, with another i posed for...
Back at home at 1pm with a pedometer reading of 9.7 miles and 21,339 steps so i am feeling rather good today, i have cut the grass, now cooking yesterdays roast we didn't have then off for a bike ride, weather permitting, i LOVE all this energy :o)
Now for my mini rant.....
Why are people so ignorant?
We had to pop into a shop on the way there to get Karl a loaf of bread for the ducks (yes i know hes 45 but he thinks he's Dr doolittle I'm sure) so we had a bag with us as the ducks were 3 miles into the walk, well after he had talked to and fed the ducks we made our way back and decided to litter pick and this is the result...
Now presumably all this was dropped by either adults or children,in which case if it is children, why are the parents not teaching them to keep such a beauty spot clean, it seriously does baffle me how some people can be so brain dead!
I'm sure people thought we were strange picking up rubbish but with a bit of luck it made at least one person think twice?
Beautiful things first, here are some pictures that i took today while we were in the Peak District, this was Castleton which is such a gorgeous little village.

After walking round for a while and having a very healthy (3 point) salad and fruit with yoghurt picnic,we stopped at Bakewell which is another gorgeous town and i went back to the dreaded coffee shop where i last week had lemon meringue pie.
Now there was a good reason/excuse, it is one of the hubby's fave deserts so he just had to have a piece, well they had run out but do you think that stopped me having a piece of chocolate fudge cake with ice cream instead?
But..... i need to get my head around the fact that i can have treats, not every day but i can have them, i have got to stop feeling guilty for fancying something so 'naughty'
The good news is i didn't have any dinner, i just didn't need any and when we got home, i bathed the dog then went out on a 10 mile bike ride!
So all in all i have had a great day, and it's reminded me, maintainance is all about balancing.
And i lost 0.5 lb
I was really pleased with that, i know i had a few treats last week and rather a lot of Smirnoff Ices on Saturday night so to have lost anything was great, although in all honesty i think it may have had something to do with last weeks sts, i had worked so hard that week, but i guess it just goes to show how our bodies don't always respond at the time we want to sometimes.
I am firmly back on the wagon and starting to up the exercise after a lazy week with Mum, i just wish it would stop raining, not much fun on the bike in the rain let alone the strong winds.
Hurry up summer!
for anytime in the future i think a 'few' treats wont hurt.
Well we went to a gig on Saturday night, travelled to Bedford (90 miles away)got there at 7pm an hadn't eaten since lunchtime so hubby fell into a chippy and i ended up at the kebab shop next door buying a burger, not a good start, yes i had 10 points left but of course that and the many Smirnoff Ices later (2.5 points each) took me way over my points for the day.
Yesterday i was not too bad, cooked mum a roast dinner but went over my points again by the end of the day so this morning i have woken up, feeling all lethargic and knowing that today i MUST have some sort of detox and get back on the wagon.
According to the wii fit yesterday morning i had put on 3lbs, by the time i went on again last night(obsessed i am) i had put on another 2lb so thats 5 lb in a day!
Yes i know it wil be volume of food but by god it made me feel awful so today i take mum to Nottingham, put her on a bus home and get back on the plan with a vengeance!
and considering it's my week off it doesnt bode well or Tuesday when i am back to 5.30am wake ups.
Saying that its now 5.30am saturday morning and i am up, showered and dressed and about to go to Asda!
Well, the diet/maintainance malarky has been a bit hit and miss this week, after the scone episode, it only got worse on Wednesday, took Mum to Bakewell, had what i thought was the best choice lunch which was a Jacket Spud with Tuna
Oh no it wasn't!
It came with Butter (my fault for not asking) Tuna in oil and the Mayo was full fat, so i spent most of Wednesday with a stomach that resembled a washer on full spin.
Come Thursday i was desperate for a healthy day and all i wanted to eat for lunch AND dinner was salad, i just couldnt face anymore fat so that was a good day in points.
Friday we took Mum to Chester and for lunch i had yet another salad, not the most inspiring meal i have ever had, it came with potatoes or chips which i refused either, then all it had was tuna, lettuce, cucumber, toms and cheese (which i left)i make a better salad at home and that was £4.30!
Anyway today we are off for a walk in the Peak District today, then we come back and get ready as Karl and i are off to a gig in Bedford tonight, seeing as i have been up since 3.30am its going to be a long day, both trying to stay in points and stay awake!
Roll on normality.
Well today i had my first WI since goal and i STS.
Now of course that is good and that is the plan but it felt so strange after 50+ weeks of getting on the scales and hoping to see a loss.
The only downside is that i still earned 35bps last week and only had one extra point a day so it's not a lot if that's what it takes to maintain but i guess it's very early days and will take a while to settle down.
This week i have my Mum up from Suffolk for the week and after WI she wanted a cuppa so off we toddled into town and i succumbed to a Cheese Scone & Butter, then i got home and ate a Curly Wurly!
Now of course you would think that's not really that bad in the grand scheme of things but according to my stomach a few hours later, it is.
Its now going around like a washing machine and gurgling away, so i guess its safe to say i have been super healthy lately and even a little bit of naughtiness affects me.
Oh well if it keeps me on the straight and narrow it can't be a bad thing :o)
i have had since Tuesday.
So i woke up on Wednesday morning as if i no longer have a focus in my life.
Now i know that isn't true and now the real hard work begins but it's so strange when you have spent 54 weeks concentrating on a goal and then you are there, it's like....'what do i do now?'
Tuesday and Wednesday i went a bit over points, we're not talking massively,no huge treats, it totalled 5 points so relatively small but by Thursday i was determined to get back on it as i am not getting on that slippery slope.
Also this week i was talking to one of the 'skinnie's' at work and it turns out i am now only one stone more than her, now if she is skinny, i guess that makes me slim, but do you think i can work that one out in my head?
For so many years i have belonged to the 'larger lady' community (diplomacy coming in here lol) that i guess in my head, that's still what i am, i wonder how long it will take my head to catch up with my body?
But all in all it's been a fabulous week, Mum is coming to stay for a week tomorrow, i just hope she likes my ww way of cooking, she's 75 and i bet she's never used garlic or spices in her life so it could be interesting, she could go home very hungry! Lol
Off to prepare now, up at 6am on a Sunday, who'd have thought i would get back that energy i had so many years ago?
Another good reason for sticking with it guys!
Yippee, i have lost that 2lb
I really didn't expect it to be today so to say i was shocked is an understatement.
I had geared myself up for it not to be this week to try not to be too upset.
Now here i have to say thanks to Sally and also to Lynne (sp) who is the tandem weigher at class as they have both been absolutely fantastic.
I had to go up the front of not 1 but 2 classes as i stayed on to 'motivate' the next class.
Sally made me feel brilliant and for that i am grateful :o)
No special treats planned tonight and definitely not food 'treats' as they are what got me in this mess in the first place but hubby says he will have to get me something nice now, to be honest if he just has the foresight to go into Asda and buy me a bunch of flowers i would be impressed but i wont hold my breath!
I am so blinkin nervous now, i just wish i could hurry up and get to goal then maybe i could relax!!
So this week i have been out on my bike a lot, i have cycled 60 miles this week, 15 of them in one evening, i have been so hungry too, is it my body telling me i need to eat more of those pesky bonus points i wonder?
Dare i eat them, dare i not eat them incase i am not eating enough, oh my god it's all so confusing!
Chances are if i don't get a good loss this week and spend all next week on my backside doing nothing i will get a good loss(that's happened before)
It's saturday night, WI is on a tuesday and i already have 33.5 bonus points oh and i have gone over my points, granted it's only 2 but i don't know what to do for the best.
Sorry,i am waffling, somebody put me out of my misery NOW!!
And i lost 0.5 lb so i got my 14th silver seven! :o)
Now i know i said i would be happy with that, and i am, to a degree
But
Part of me knows how hard i worked last week, i totalled 35 bonus points and cycled for 5 out of 7 days and clocked up a minimum of 10,000 steps a day
Then Again
I do seem to work a week behind and have been here before, so maybe it will show up next week, be nice if it showed to the tune of 2lbs but i am going to try not to get too excited.
Mum is coming to stay with me Monday week for 7 days so it would be lovely to get it before then, and yes i am ready for all the lectures telling me i mustn't lose anymore, i know her so well, she WILL say it Lol
Here's to a good week whatever happens, it's going to happen, i'm just not sure what week it will be but if nothing else it keeps me on my toes!
Insurance that is, for me.
After he had come home and eaten his dinner on Wednesday, bearing in mind i had already walked 15,000+ steps, he decided we were going out for a bike ride.
I could have sworn he was trying to finish me off!
So off we went and we did about 6 miles that night but oh no, not content just to do it the one night we have now gone on a bike ride every night getting up to over 10 miles.
Today we have pottered about the house doing odd jobs and generally getting those jobs done you often don't have the time or inclination and we have just got back from a 11 mile bike ride.
All i can say is thank goodness i went out and bought us both gel seat covers because to say i had a numb backside the second night is an understatement!
To be honest i am really enjoying getting out in the sunshine and fresh air and not being stuck in front of a TV or laptop but it started to freak me out a little as every day this week that i have got on the Wii fit, i have gained a pound!
Now i have been angelic point wise and i have never been one to fluctuate from day to day(unless i do the body test at different times)so i was getting rather stressed, the old adage muscle weighs more than fat was in my head and bugging me.
Pleased to say that i now seem to have gone back down to what i was post WI last Tuesday so hopefully come Tuesday at the very least that 0.5 lb will be mine for my final silver seven, fingers crossed!
Well as my previous post said, i have now done a year at weightwatchers so as much as for me as well as hopefully spurring you on i am going to list some changes in that year.
Last Year
I could barely walk the 2 minute walk to the bus stop after work.
This year
I can walk all the way home which is nearly 3 miles.
Last Year
I was in a size 26-28 top and 22 Bottoms
This Year
I am wearing 12's and 14's
Last Year
I used to sleep 2 hours every afternoon
This year
I can't sleep at all during the day and have so much energy
Last Year
I had no confidence
This Year
Apparantely i have too much!
Last Year
All i wanted to do on my day off was clean the house then sit on my backside all day
This Year
On my day off i am continually looking for things to do as i seem unable to sit down for long
Last Year
Although i work in fashion i hated shopping
This year
I absolutely love shopping (sorry dear hubby)
Every year since 1992
I was on Anti depressants come winter.
This year
0 pills have passed my lips
The list could be endless but those are a few and if i could bottle how much better i feel now, i would surely be living somewhere in the sun and be very rich.
Weight Watchers does work and a year isn't really long in the grand scheme of things, and compared to many more years of being unhappy i know which one i would choose, over and over again.
If you are reading this, please stick with this, my life has changed so much for the better and i am happier than i have been all my adult life.
We only get one shot in this world, make it the best you can.
Well actually i lie, it's not my official birthday but today was my 52nd WI marking a year at weight watchers.
I haven't blogged much this week apart from adding the new weight tracker purely because most of last week i was full of cold and felt grotty and the best medicine seemed to be curly wurly's!
Actually, i didn't eat that many and i did manage to stay in points (just) so i am pleased to say i lost 1lb this week, which i am more than happy with considering i lost 4 last week.
So i now only have 0.5lb to get my 7 stone and 2.5 to goal.
If i am honest, I'd be happy with that half a pound as the 7 stone goal is as much of an achievement to me than actually getting to goal so with luck, this time next week i will be beaming and even closer to going to WW for free :o)
who have finally got their heads around the weight tracker.
So now you can actually see all your losses on one page rather than having them on 3 or 4 pages which i found annoying to say the least so here is mine for the last 51 weeks.
Rather proud that it doesn't show too may blips!
Went to WI with the faint hope of losing maybe 1.5lbs as i dropped a point last week, got on the scales and i lost 4lbs!
I know i have had a good week points wise and still managed the 10,000 minimum steps a day plus the wii fit but i can honestly say i never imagined such a loss.
So now i only have 3.5 lbs to lose to get to goal and the reality is i could be at goal in 2-3 weeks maybe?
So pleased that i didn't have an egg :o)
Well i got up, showered, went to the wardrobe and i suddenly realised i had nothing to wear.
Now while its great that things are too big, it's also left me feeling as grumpy as i did when i was too big for anything.
Jeans are hanging off me, all my tops are too baggy and look awful and anything else i do have that fits is the sort of stuff i wear for work (smart) and not the sort of thing i like to wear at the weekend.
I even tried Hubby's jeans on which were a 34 waist and they fit, shame he's so blinkin short, rather chuffed i am a 34 waist tho :o)
So as i type i have managed to scrape together a size 12 mini skirt from Dotty P's that i initially bought for work and a jumper that i shrunk in the wash Lol
Not sure it's walking friendly clothing.....
But going to have to do!
I decided to take a pic in the same t shirt and this is the result,
Please ignore the face, i hated my picture taken then and this morning i feel rather rough (more than usual!) as i think i have a chest infection :o(
Also not feeling that good this morning as nothing fits me anymore!
Desperately need new jeans and the smaller i get the harder i am finding it to get jeans that are not hipsters, i hate the bloomin things!
