So it's day 5 and all is going well, i had planned the meals or most of the week and going to do the following week tomorrow and so far it's keeping me on that wagon.
I know to some it's a bit regimented but for me it really works knowing what i am going to have and as all the meals i make are lovely (show off!) i don't ever seem to have those 'oh but now i fancy something else' moments.
About the only exciting thing i have done this week apart from the norm of work, housework and sleep is to go to the cinema, i resisted any kinds of treats and thank god i did once i got there and saw the prices!
Having not been to the flicks since we saw 'Stuck on You' which i googled and that came out in 2003, i can't believe a drink and popcorn now cost £5.80, what a rip off!
Karl picked me up from work this morning and we stopped at the local cake shop which makes the most delicious fresh cream cakes and i bought 3, well as some of you will know there are 3 in my family but guess what?
2 were for him and one was for Sarah, i resisted!
I then got home to make them both bacon sandwiches while i made creamy mushrooms on toast followed by satsumas....go me!
And you know, i wasn't really bothered, i can make/buy them treats that once upon a time i would have eaten regularly and it really doesn't get to me anymore. I feel no anger, jealousy, no desire to have a 'bite', more importantly the desire to slap them silly for eating in in front of me has gone.
Thank the lord for that, i say!

i know what you mean about treats for others, my husband and son are naturally thin, so i figure, why should they suffer, but on the other hand, they don't need it all the time either, so they get the occasional treat. i am proud however of the fact that my son has not had mcdonalds since early june... subway yes, but none of the other stuff... :)
